And He brought us to this place and gave us this land, a land flowing with milk and honey. Verse 10. And now, behold, I have brought the firstfruits of the land that You, O LORD, have given me.” Then you are to place the basket before the LORD your God and bow down before Him. Verse 11. Philippians 4:4-9

Verse 4. Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice! Verse 5. Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near. Verse 6. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Verse 8. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think on these things. Verse 9. Whatever you have learned or received or heard from me, or seen in me, put it into practice. And the God of peace will be with you.

GOSPEL

John 6:25-35

Verse 25. When they found Him on the other side of the sea, they asked Him, “Rabbi, when did You get here?” Verse 26. Jesus replied, “Truly, truly, I tell you, it is not because you saw these signs that you are looking for Me, but because you ate the loaves and had your fill. Verse 27. Do not work for food that perishes, but for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on Him God the Father has placed His seal of approval.” Verse 28. Then they inquired, “What must we do to perform the works of God?” Verse 29. Jesus replied, “The work of God is this: to believe in the One He has sent.” Verse 30. So they asked Him, “What sign then will You perform, so that we may see it and believe You? What will You do? Verse 31. Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness, as it is written: ‘He gave them bread from heaven to eat.’ ” Verse 32. Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I tell you, it was not Moses who gave you the bread from heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread from heaven. Verse 33. For the bread of God is He who comes down from heaven and gives life to the world.” Verse 34. “Sir,” they said, “give us this bread at all times.” Verse 35. Jesus answered, “I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to Me will never hunger, and whoever believes in Me will never thirst.
