Jeremiah 32:36-44
Verse 36. Now therefore, about this city of which you say, ‘It will be delivered into the hand of the king of Babylon by sword and famine and plague,’ this is what the LORD, the God of Israel, says: Verse 37. I will surely gather My people from all the lands to which I have banished them in My furious anger and great wrath, and I will return them to this place and make them dwell in safety. Verse 38. They will be My people, and I will be their God. Verse 39. I will give them one heart and one way, so that they will always fear Me for their own good and for the good of their children after them. Verse 40. I will make an everlasting covenant with them: I will never turn away from doing good to them, and I will put My fear in their hearts, so that they will never turn away from Me. Verse 41. Yes , I will rejoice in doing them good, and I will faithfully plant them in this land with all My heart and with all My soul. Verse 42. For this is what the LORD says: Just as I have brought all this great disaster on this people, so I will bring on them all the good I have promised them. Verse 43. And fields will be bought in this land about which you are saying, ‘It is a desolation, without man or beast; it has been delivered into the hands of the Chaldeans.’ Verse 44. Fields will be purchased with silver, and deeds will be signed, sealed, and witnessed in the land of Benjamin, in the areas surrounding Jerusalem, and in the cities of Judah— the cities of the hill country, the foothills, and the Negev— because I will restore them from captivity, declares the LORD.”

Hosea 10:9-15
Verse 9. Since the days of Gibeah you have sinned, O Israel, and there you have remained. Did not the battle in Gibeah overtake the sons of iniquity? Verse 10. I will chasten them when I please; nations will be gathered against them to put them in bondage for their double transgression. Verse 11. Ephraim is a well-trained heifer that loves to thresh; but I will place a yoke on her fair neck. I will harness Ephraim, Judah will plow, and Jacob will break the hard ground. Verse 12. Sow for yourselves righteousness and reap the fruit of loving devotion; break up your unplowed ground. For it is time to seek the LORD until He comes and sends righteousness upon you like rain. Verse 13. You have plowed wickedness and reaped injustice; you have eaten the fruit of lies. Because you have trusted in your own way and in the multitude of your mighty men, Verse 14. the roar of battle will rise against your people, so that all your fortresses will be demolished as Shalman devastated Beth-arbel in the day of battle, when mothers were dashed to pieces along with their children. Verse 15. Thus it will be done to you, O Bethel, because of your great wickedness. When the day dawns, the king of Israel will be utterly cut off.

James 5:1-6
Verse 1. Come now, you who are rich, weep and wail over the misery to come upon you. Verse 2. Your riches have rotted and moths have eaten your clothes. Verse 3. Your gold and silver are corroded. Their corrosion will testify against you and consume your flesh like fire. You have hoarded treasure in the last days. Verse 4. Look, the wages you withheld from the workmen who mowed your fields are crying out against you. The cries of the harvesters have reached the ears of the Lord of Hosts. Verse 5. You have lived on earth in luxury and self-indulgence. You have fattened your hearts in the day of slaughter. Verse 6. You have condemned and murdered the righteous, who did not resist you.
