FIRST READING
2 Kings 5:1-14
Verse 1. Now Naaman, the commander of the army of the king of Aram, was a great man in his master’s sight and highly regarded, for through him the LORD had given victory to Aram. And he was a mighty man of valor, but he was a leper. Verse 2. At this time the Arameans had gone out in bands and had taken a young girl from the land of Israel, and she was serving Naaman’s wife. Verse 3. She said to her mistress, “If only my master would go to the prophet who is in Samaria, he would cure him of his leprosy.” Verse 4. And Naaman went and told his master what the girl from the land of Israel had said. Verse 5. “Go now,” said the king of Aram, “and I will send you with a letter to the king of Israel.” So Naaman departed, taking with him ten talents of silver, six thousand shekels of gold, and ten sets of clothing. Verse 6. And the letter that he took to the king of Israel stated: “With this letter I am sending my servant Naaman, so that you may cure him of his leprosy.” Verse 7. When the king of Israel read the letter, he tore his clothes and asked, “Am I God, killing and giving life, that this man expects me to cure a leper? Surely you can see that he is seeking a quarrel with me!” Verse 8. Now when Elisha the man of God heard that the king of Israel had torn his clothes, he sent a message to the king: “Why have you torn your clothes? Please let the man come to me, and he will know that there is a prophet in Israel.” Verse 9. So Naaman came with his horses and chariots and stood at the door of Elisha’s house. Verse 10. Then Elisha sent him a messenger, who said, “Go and wash yourself seven times in the Jordan, and your flesh will be restored, and you will be clean.” Verse 11. But Naaman went away angry, saying, “I thought that he would surely come out, stand and call on the name of the LORD his God, and wave his hand over the spot to cure my leprosy. Verse 12. Are not the Abanah and Pharpar, the rivers of Damascus, better than all the waters of Israel? Could I not have washed in them and been cleansed?” So he turned and went away in a rage. Verse 13. Naaman’s servants, however, approached him and said, “My father, if the prophet had told you to do some great thing, would you not have done it? How much more, then, when he tells you, ‘Wash and be cleansed’?” Verse 14. So Naaman went down and dipped himself in the Jordan seven times, according to the word of the man of God, and his flesh was restored and became like that of a little child, and he was clean.

Complementary (Track 2)
FIRST READING
Isaiah 66:10-14
Verse 10. Be glad for Jerusalem and rejoice over her, all who love her. Rejoice greatly with her, all who mourn over her, Verse 11. so that you may nurse and be satisfied at her comforting breasts; you may drink deeply and delight yourselves in her glorious abundance. Verse 12. For this is what the LORD says: “I will extend peace to her like a river, and the wealth of nations like a flowing stream; you will nurse and be carried on her arm, and bounced upon her knees. Verse 13. As a mother comforts her son, so will I comfort you, and you will be consoled over Jerusalem.” Verse 14. When you see, you will rejoice, and you will flourish like grass; then the hand of the LORD will be revealed to His servants, but His wrath will be shown to His enemies.
PSALM
Psalm 66:1-9
SECOND READING
Galatians 6:(1-6), 7-16
Verse 7. Do not be deceived: God is not to be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return. Verse 8. The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Verse 9. Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Verse 10. Therefore, as we have opportunity, let us do good to everyone, and especially to the family of faith. Verse 11. See what large letters I am using to write to you with my own hand! Verse 12. Those who want to make a good impression outwardly are trying to compel you to be circumcised. They only do this to avoid persecution for the cross of Christ. Verse 13. For the circumcised do not even keep the law themselves, yet they want you to be circumcised that they may boast in your flesh. Verse 14. But as for me, may I never boast, except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ, through which the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world. Verse 15. For neither circumcision nor uncircumcision means anything. What counts is a new creation. Verse 16. Peace and mercy to all who walk by this rule, even to the Israel of God.
GOSPEL
Luke 10:1-11, 16-20
Verse 1. After this, the Lord appointed seventy-two others and sent them two by two ahead of Him to every town and place He was about to visit. Verse 2. And He told them, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest. Verse 3. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves. Verse 4. Carry no purse or bag or sandals. Do not greet anyone along the road. Verse 5. Whatever house you enter, begin by saying, ‘Peace to this house.’ Verse 6. If a man of peace is there, your peace will rest on him; if not, it will return to you. Verse 7. Stay at the same house, eating and drinking whatever you are offered. For the worker is worthy of his wages. Do not move around from house to house. Verse 8. If you enter a town and they welcome you, eat whatever is set before you. Verse 9. Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’ Verse 10. But if you enter a town and they do not welcome you, go into the streets and declare, Verse 11. ‘Even the dust of your town that clings to our feet, we wipe off as a testimony against you. Yet be sure of this: The kingdom of God is near.’ Verse 16. Whoever listens to you listens to Me; whoever rejects you rejects Me; and whoever rejects Me rejects the One who sent Me.” Verse 17. The seventy-two returned with joy and said, “Lord, even the demons submit to us in Your name.” Verse 18. So He told them, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. Verse 19. Behold, I have given you authority to tread on snakes and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy. Nothing will harm you. Verse 20. Nevertheless, do not rejoice that the spirits submit to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”
