FIRST READING

Exodus 33:12-17

Verse 12. Then Moses said to the LORD, “Look, You have been telling me, ‘Lead this people up,’ but You have not let me know whom You will send with me. Yet You have said, ‘I know you by name, and you have found favor in My sight.’ Verse 13. Now if indeed I have found favor in Your sight, please let me know Your ways, that I may know You and find favor in Your sight. Remember that this nation is Your people.” Verse 14. And the LORD answered, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.” Verse 15. “If Your Presence does not go with us,” Moses replied, “do not lead us up from here. Verse 16. For how then can it be known that Your people and I have found favor in Your sight, unless You go with us? How else will we be distinguished from all the other people on the face of the earth?” Verse 17. So the LORD said to Moses, “I will do this very thing you have asked, for you have found favor in My sight, and I know you by name.”

SECOND READING

Revelation 22:6-9

Verse 6. Then the angel said to me, “These words are faithful and true. The Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent His angel to show His servants what must soon take place.” Verse 7. “Behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of prophecy in this book. ” Verse 8. And I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I had heard and seen them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who had shown me these things. Verse 9. But he said to me, “Do not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God!”
