FIRST READING

Ezekiel 28:25-26

Verse 25. This is what the Lord GOD says: ‘When I gather the house of Israel from the peoples among whom they have been scattered, I will show Myself holy among them in the sight of the nations. Then they will dwell in their own land, which I have given to My servant Jacob. Verse 26. And there they will dwell securely, build houses, and plant vineyards. They will dwell securely when I execute judgments against all those around them who treat them with contempt. Then they will know that I am the LORD their God.’”

PSALM

Psalm 23

Verse 1. A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd; I shall not want.
Verse 2. He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters.
Verse 3. He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness for the sake of His name.
Verse 4. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.
Verse 5. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Verse 6. Surely goodness and mercy will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever.

Do not be afraid, little flock, for your Father is pleased to give you the kingdom.
