PSALM

Psalm 111

Verse 1. Hallelujah! I will give thanks to the LORD with all my heart in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
Verse 2. Great are the works of the LORD; they are pondered by all who delight in them.
Verse 3. Splendid and majestic is His work; His righteousness endures forever.
Verse 4. He has caused His wonders to be remembered; the LORD is gracious and compassionate.
Verse 5. He provides food for those who fear Him; He remembers His covenant forever.
Verse 6. He has shown His people the power of His works by giving them the inheritance of the nations.
Verse 7. The works of His hands are truth and justice; all His precepts are trustworthy.
Verse 8. They are upheld forever and ever, enacted in truth and uprightness.
Verse 9. He has sent redemption to His people; He has ordained His covenant forever; holy and awesome is His name.
Verse 10. The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom; all who follow His precepts gain rich understanding. His praise endures forever!

Proverbs 9:1-6

Verse 1. Wisdom has built her house; she has carved out her seven pillars. Verse 2. She has prepared her meat and mixed her wine; she has also set her table. Verse 3. She has sent out her maidservants; she calls out from the heights of the city. Verse 4. “Whoever is simple, let him turn in here!” she says to him who lacks judgment. Verse 5. “Come, eat my bread and drink the wine I have mixed. Verse 6. Leave your folly behind, and you will live; walk in the way of understanding.”

Psalm 34:9-14

Verse 9. Fear the LORD, you His saints, for those who fear Him lack nothing.
Verse 10. Young lions go lacking and hungry, but those who seek the LORD lack no good thing.
Verse 11. Come, children, listen to me; I will teach you the fear of the LORD.
Verse 12. Who is the man who delights in life, who desires to see good days?
Verse 13. Keep your tongue from evil and your lips from deceitful speech.
Verse 14. Turn away from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it.

Ephesians 5:15-20

Verse 15. Pay careful attention, then, to how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, Verse 16. redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Verse 17. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord’s will is. Verse 18. Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to reckless indiscretion. Instead, be filled with the Spirit. Verse 19. Speak to one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Sing and make music in your hearts to the Lord, Verse 20. always giving thanks to God the Father for everything in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 6:51-58

Verse 51. I am the living bread that came down from heaven. If anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever. And this bread, which I will give for the life of the world, is My flesh.” Verse 52. At this, the Jews began to argue among themselves, “How can this man give us His flesh to eat?” Verse 53. So Jesus said to them, “Truly, truly, I tell you, unless you eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of Man, you have no life in you. Verse 54. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. Verse 55. For My flesh is real food, and My blood is real drink. Verse 56. Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood remains in Me, and I in him. Verse 57. Just as the living Father sent Me and I live because of the Father, so also the one who feeds on Me will live because of Me. Verse 58. This is the bread that came down from heaven. Unlike your fathers, who ate the manna and died, the one who eats this bread will live forever.”
