Numbers 27:12-14
Verse 12. Then the LORD said to Moses, “Go up this mountain of the Abarim range and see the land that I have given the Israelites. Verse 13. After you have seen it, you too will be gathered to your people, as your brother Aaron was; Verse 14. for when the congregation contended in the Wilderness of Zin, both of you rebelled against My command to show My holiness in their sight regarding the waters.” Those were the waters of Meribah in Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin.

Complementary (Track 2)
FIRST READING
Ezekiel 18:19-24
Verse 19. Yet you may ask, ‘Why shouldn’t the son bear the iniquity of his father?’ Since the son has done what is just and right, carefully observing all My statutes, he will surely live. Verse 20. The soul who sins is the one who will die. A son will not bear the iniquity of his father, and a father will not bear the iniquity of his son. The righteousness of the righteous man will fall upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked man will fall upon him. Verse 21. But if the wicked man turns from all the sins he has committed, keeps all My statutes, and does what is just and right, he will surely live; he will not die. Verse 22. None of the transgressions he has committed will be held against him. Because of the righteousness he has practiced, he will live. Verse 23. Do I take any pleasure in the death of the wicked? declares the Lord GOD. Wouldn’t I prefer that he turn from his ways and live? Verse 24. But if a righteous man turns from his righteousness and practices iniquity, committing the same abominations as the wicked, will he live? None of the righteous acts he did will be remembered. Because of the unfaithfulness and sin he has committed, he will die.
PSALM
Psalm 25:1-9
SECOND READING
Mark 11:27-33
Verse 27. After their return to Jerusalem, Jesus was walking in the temple courts, and the chief priests, scribes, and elders came up to Him. Verse 28. “By what authority are You doing these things?” they asked. “And who gave You the authority to do them?” Verse 29. “I will ask you one question,” Jesus replied, “and if you answer Me, I will tell you by what authority I am doing these things. Verse 30. John’s baptism — was it from heaven or from men? Answer Me!” Verse 31. They deliberated among themselves what they should answer: “If we say, ‘From heaven,’ He will ask, ‘Why then did you not believe him?’ Verse 32. But if we say, ‘From men’ ...” they were afraid of the people, for they all held that John truly was a prophet. Verse 33. So they answered, “We do not know.” And Jesus replied, “Neither will I tell you by what authority I am doing these things.”
