Genesis 7:11-8:5
Verse 11. In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month, all the fountains of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened. Verse 12. And the rain fell upon the earth for forty days and forty nights. Verse 13. On that very day Noah entered the ark, along with his sons Shem, Ham, and Japheth, and his wife, and the three wives of his sons — Verse 14. they and every kind of wild animal, livestock, crawling creature, bird, and winged creature. Then the LORD shut him in. Verse 17. For forty days the flood kept coming on the earth, and the waters rose and lifted the ark high above the earth. Verse 18. So the waters continued to surge and rise greatly on the earth, and the ark floated on the surface of the waters. Verse 19. Finally, the waters completely prevailed upon the earth, so that all the high mountains under all the heavens were covered. Verse 20. The waters rose and covered the mountaintops to a depth of fifteen cubits. Verse 21. And every living thing that moved upon the earth perished — birds, livestock, animals, every creature that swarms upon the earth, and all mankind. Verse 22. Of all that was on dry land, everything that had the breath of life in its nostrils died. Verse 23. And every living thing on the face of the earth was destroyed — man and livestock, crawling creatures and birds of the air; they were blotted out from the earth, and only Noah and those with him in the ark remained. Verse 24. And the waters prevailed upon the earth for 150 days. Verse 1. But God remembered Noah and all the animals and livestock that were with him in the ark. And God sent a wind over the earth, and the waters began to subside. Verse 2. The springs of the deep and the floodgates of the heavens were closed, and the rain from the sky was restrained. Verse 3. The waters receded steadily from the earth, and after 150 days the waters had gone down. Verse 4. On the seventeenth day of the seventh month, the ark came to rest on the mountains of Ararat. Verse 5. And the waters continued to recede until the tenth month, and on the first day of the tenth month the tops of the mountains became visible.

2 Peter 2:4-10
Verse 4. For if God did not spare the angels when they sinned, but cast them deep into hell, placing them in chains of darkness to be held for judgment; Verse 5. if He did not spare the ancient world when He brought the flood on its ungodly people, but preserved Noah, a preacher of righteousness, among the eight; Verse 6. if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction, reducing them to ashes as an example of what is coming on the ungodly; Verse 7. and if He rescued Lot, a righteous man distressed by the depraved conduct of the lawless Verse 8. (for that righteous man, living among them day after day, was tormented in his righteous soul by the lawless deeds he saw and heard )— Verse 9. if all this is so, then the Lord knows how to rescue the godly from trials and to hold the unrighteous for punishment on the day of judgment. Verse 10. Such punishment is specially reserved for those who indulge the corrupt desires of the flesh and despise authority. Bold and self-willed, they are unafraid to slander glorious beings.
