FIRST READING

Micah 3:1-4

Verse 1. Then I said: “Hear now, O leaders of Jacob, you rulers of the house of Israel. Should you not know justice? Verse 2. You hate good and love evil. You tear the skin from my people and strip the flesh from their bones. Verse 3. You eat the flesh of my people after stripping off their skin and breaking their bones. You chop them up like flesh for the cooking pot, like meat in a cauldron.” Verse 4. Then they will cry out to the LORD, but He will not answer them. At that time He will hide His face from them because of the evil they have done.

PSALM

Psalm 15

Verse 1. A Psalm of David. O LORD, who may abide in Your tent? Who may dwell on Your holy mountain?
Verse 2. He who walks with integrity and practices righteousness, who speaks the truth from his heart,
Verse 3. who has no slander on his tongue, who does no harm to his neighbor, who casts no scorn on his friend,
Verse 4. who despises the vile but honors those who fear the LORD, who does not revise a costly oath,
Verse 5. who lends his money without interest and refuses a bribe against the innocent. He who does these things will never be shaken.

SECOND READING

John 13:31-35

Verse 31. When Judas had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. Verse 32. If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify the Son in Himself — and will glorify Him at once. Verse 33. Little children, I am with you only a little while longer. You will look for Me, and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you: ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’ Verse 34. A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. Verse 35. By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.”
